Sarah Barton and her team have established themselves as a critical part of our community arts and screen sector, producing and distributing high-quality films in collaborative partnerships with people with the lived experience of disability. These films are innovative and inspirational. They depict the diversity of our society, often exploring the intersectionality of disability, gender, and culture.

The work of Disability Busters plays a vital role in raising issues and promoting debate in our community and shaping conversations. These conversations include matters concerning human rights, social justice and the importance of breaking down the barriers and building the social and economic architecture necessary to support a diverse and inclusive community.

I hold the work of Sarah Barton and Disability Busters in great esteem, and incorporate these screen resources into our teaching programme at the University of Melbourne.

Yours sincerely,

Hi! I'm Sarah and I'm the creator behind Disability Busters.

Sarah Barton is a true ally and warrior for disabled people's rights. Her chief talents are TV making and inspiring a virtual UN of people from different backgrounds with different impairments to not just work together productively but also to make pioneering arts. Sarah is a consummate peace maker but also a very determined media producer, who gets stuff done. She's funny, succinct and constantly innovative. I bet she dreams 6 impossible things before breakfast every day.
